In the wake of COVID-19, many people have started looking for ways to increase their health immunity. There are a variety of ways to do this, like eating a healthy diet, getting enough sleep every night, and taking certain supplements. But none are as effective or powerful as the ancient Ayurveda practice of Panchakarma.

Panchakarma is the art of detoxification. It involves a process of internal cleaning and purification that can be used to strengthen the body’s natural defenses against infections like COVID-19. This process also helps clear any residual toxins from the body, reduces stress levels and gives one a feeling of physical and mental well-being. Today, Panchakarma enjoys worldwide recognition as an effective system that can help improve your health in many ways.
What is Panchakarma?
“To disturb the body and to rid it of all ailments, Panchakarma is the only possible way.”-Pradipika IYENGAR, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
The word Panchakarma is derived from panch (five) and karma (work), which means that five processes are to be performed in the course of this yoga process.
I. Purification
This is the first step in the process. The toxins and impurities accumulate in our system from food, water, air and lifestyle. The purification happens by your own self-induced action on one level or another. “You are the best purifier of your system. The best way to purify your system is through detoxification.”
II. Digestion
The body goes through four different processes during the digestion: assimilation, absorption, excretion and circulation. Panchakarma can help you control these processes.
III. Smoke Purification
This process is to remove the last trace of toxins in the body by applying different types of smoke on your body and inhaling it in a particular manner. While in the Kneipp method you inhale a special type of hot air, in other systems such as Panchakarma, you need to apply the smoke on your body and give it time to be absorbed into your system.
IV. Circulation
This is the most important step in this yoga process. The main aim of this step is to improve blood circulation by improving the flow of blood. This will enable the elimination of waste products and toxins from the body, which are carried by blood- even in small quantities.
V. Healing
Healing is one of the most important steps in this process. It helps to remove the negative effect of the process on the body and mind. The healing is done by several massage techniques, controlled intake of food and drinks, application of medicated oil etc.
Panchakarma is best practised under expert guidance because it can cause some side-effects like nausea, vomiting, dizziness, skin rashes etc. Therefore, it cannot be done without a proper guidance. An expert practitioner will be able to balance the body and does the Panchakarma on a holistic level.
The main objectives of Panchakarma are:
1. Cleanse the system by detaching from physical and emotional problems.
2. Detoxify the body by removing residues from reflexology, massage and herbal processes
3. Relieve stress and exhaustion
Panchakarma can also be performed at home using popular herbal formulas for detoxification. However, it is best to consult an experienced practitioner who can guide you on the duration, timings and other precautions related to Panchakarma.
Alternately, we also offer KIVA-19 capsules, which help to boost the body’s defence mechanisms. The herbal ingredients in these capsules make an ideal cognitive function formula that provides one with increased memory, more energy and better blood circulation.
Most traditional medicine is practiced in pockets around the world, where they have access to the thousands of years old knowledge. Undoubtedly, modern medicine is progressing rapidly and new medicines are being introduced almost every day. But allopathic or Western system does not have a complete fix for many diseases such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, diabetes etc. It is only natural for people to associate their health problems with a reduction in their immunity.
So do you know what is causing this COVID-19 and how we can stop it? Most of the doctors are clueless about this new disease. So they don’t even have a solution for such kind of diseases. Even if they try, they don’t get any positive results. The cause of the problem lies in our lifestyle and eating pattern or the modern day life style disorders (MLSD).
