When every individual in a society maintains good personal hygiene, diseases won’t spread much. What is personal hygiene? Personal hygiene is a practice or a routine that: Prevention is better than cure, so practicing personal hygiene is a way to prevent diseases. What are the main types of personal hygiene? 1. Toilet hygiene: Washing your hands after using the toilet is essential. Use an antibacterial soap and wash every corner of your hand for 20 seconds: the back of your hand, under the nails, and between the fingers. Wash your hands with clean water and dry them with a tissue or towel. 2. Shower hygiene: The human body produces sweat. This sweat results in body odor. Therefore, people must takea shower every other day and remove the unwanted body odor. It depends on you to decidehow many times you want to take a shower in a day. However, you must take a shower at least once a day. Showering with soap or body wash will rinse away the dead skin cells or bacteria. You must also wash your hair regularly, not daily.
